ZIP Children 0–5 Capacity CDI Status

Simulation uses the existing children 0–5 and capacity values from your District 124 dashboard model and changes only the selected ZIP’s capacity.

Method

This panel is designed to answer a legislative question in plain terms: if new childcare seats are added in a target ZIP, how much does district pressure improve? The model does not alter the child population. It changes only the seat supply in the selected ZIP, recalculates the children-to-capacity ratio for that ZIP, and compares the before-and-after result. That turns the dashboard from a static portrait into a policy engine — one that can show whether a proposed subsidy, expansion grant, or provider recruitment effort would meaningfully relieve pressure in the places carrying the heaviest burden.
